Perfect experience. At bar, Super Dave was attentive, polite, personable service. Moved to an outdoor table when company arrived. Service was attentive although black haired girl didn't seem like she was happy in her position. Regardless, service was assisted by another more warm and friendly server. Food was delicious with gracious servings. I had beet salad with a dollop of impressive chicken salad. Company had the polenta/grit cake with grilled shrimp appetizer ( I tasted and had plate envy), forgot the other options, but highly recommend and can't wait to return.

Wow. Just wow. Our group of 5 stopped by over the weekend having never eaten here before but we were nearby at Union Square and we were all blown away by the amazing food here. I had the Mahi Mahi special and it was some of the best food I have ever eaten! It was served over cheese grits and topped with tomato vinaigrette with asparagus on the side. I can easily say that I was in the "clean plate club" when I finished. My wife had the half chicken which was a little dry but had a great flavor and the side of pimento macaroni & cheese was phenomenal! Very sharp cheese and so delicious and original. My son had a ham & pineapple pizza and we all admitted that it was one of the best pizzas we've ever had. We are already planning a trip back just to eat here!

Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We both had chicken and waffles and I had the Hickory hot sauce on mine. Surprisingly good to the point that I didn’t really use the syrup. Who knew this combination worked so well! The hot sauce isn’t too hot and is very flavorful. Our server was extremely friendly and super attentive. The seating area is the back is a good size and the windows give a great view of the historic part of town. There is a wine and dessert area in the front where you can shop before or after eating. The location is very convenient to stop by the farmers market or the city walk. Overall a great experience.

Decided to try this place out on a Saturday night since we were already in downtown, we parked a few blocks away and walked over. Not a long wait for a Saturday night, maybe 15 minutes. We got an appetizer, dinner plate, and a pizza to share. Everything was delicious, appropriately priced for what you get. Portions are fairly large, we left with multiple boxes. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly along with all of the staff we encountered. It was a little loud inside but not anything unexpected for a bar/restaurant on a weekend. We will definitely be returning, many menu options we wanted to try!

Really nice little place, the service was premium. Food was good, plenty of options. They were out of the appetizer I wanted to try, the island of mozzarella. The appetizer we did get was so good. They have a lot of on tap brews. Cute little market next door. The market has a Deli and a large wine selection.

In Hickory on business, so wanted to spend going into the local economy. Found this great place via Google search and under 5 minutes from our hotel. GREAT atmosphere! "Amazing Appalachian biscuits" and "Thee best eggs Benedict I have ever had." My breakfast sandwich was very good too! Service was prompt, courteous, and attentive. Nice portion sizes and priced appropriately.

Great experience! We were in town for one night and stopped her for lunch after the farmers market. We were able to get seats at the bar and were greeted right away. I got the veggie pizza which was delicious and my husband got the Ruben which he said was amazing. Good variety of beers. All bartenders were very friendly and welcoming, would def stop here again if we are ever out that way again :)

It was a beautiful spring day at lunch time so it was very busy but we only had to wait about 20 minutes. All the servers and employees where very nice. The atmosphere was amazing. I really enjoyed the gift shop at the front of the restaurant and the view from our table was beautiful. The food was so fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Hickory NC!
